Featured projects

How are CROs spent?

Community Grants

Goal: Augment community budgets stressed by new spending required to respond to climate change.

Funds for approved resilience projects that are shovel-ready meet the most up-to-date codes, materials and methods and are projected to be effective for twenty-five years.

Disbursement Partners

Goal: Partner with established lenders to help property owners finance climate resilience upgrades or repairs

CRF will make grants to non-profit or for-profit entities that can streamline and broaden the fund disbursement process for direct spending on approved climate resilience investments.  Spending must be directed for projects such as home improvements for low and middle-income properties in at-risk areas, or for immediate repair of a property damaged by a severe weather event where government assistance and private insurance are insufficient or not available.

The CRF does not provide offset grants directly to property owners, and all lenders must require climate resilience audits.

Innovation Installation

Goal: Get climate resilience innovations into the field

CRF will leverage the technology and business plan due diligence of top-tier accelerator programs to find startups ready to build prototypes or install their first market trials of climate resilience innovations. Accelerators or other private investors must provide matching funds to cover company operations.

The CRF does not provide offset grants for startup operations, software or service companies, or manufacturing scaling.
